“I am the organiser of the Irish police soccer tournament each year. The Mallorca Football Tournament has a separate tournament for Government teams and is a police event and, in my capacity, as national social secretary I am tasked with running the home event and subsequent international event.
For the past 5 years the winners and runners up of the home tournament participated in the Mallorca football tournament. I personally organise the home event and usually run a one day event for the 12 participants. It is my choice where the winners and runners up go for the international event. I have chosen the mallorca event for the following reasons:
1. It is a professionally run tournament and very well organised and managed from start to finish
2. The accommodation is always first class.
3. The friendships garnered over the years with other nationalities is priceless.
4. The location and facilities are excellent and
5. All of the Irish teams that have participated in the Mallorca event over the past years have nothing but praise for the level of organisation of the event in other words we will be back.”

“During our short week, in October last year, we had a wonderful stay in Santa Ponsa. The Tournament was fantastic. Both of our teams, Sweden Stars (spectators favorites) and IFK Malmö, we were very satisfied.
Regarding to the Walking Football teams (that we did meet), they held high standard. Nottingham Forest beat Malmö again, the last occaision was in the European Cup final 1979… and this time on penalty shout-out… Of course our stay at the hotel was splended too. We will return, maybe next year!”

Walking Football teams from many corners of Europe compete in a friendly way for several days, and you get to know many friends from other countries. WF Mallorca is simply the best!”

“A tournament in which everything is arranged down to the last detail. Before, during and after. You will be guided in the entire process from registration to transfer back to the airport. In a very nice location on Mallorca, in the town of Santa Ponca, where several hotels or apartments are available to suit every budget. The tournament, in which different nationalities participate, takes place in a friendly atmosphere, where there is a close fight for the tournament win.
One of the beautiful things that have arisen from this tournament, are the different contacts and friendships, and even (in our case) a relationship has arisen with one of our ladies.
Of course, there are also moments of relaxation in the form of an opening party and a closing party. Sun, sea and bliss, a tournament not to be forgotten and, whenever possible, to participate in several times.”

“I have participated 4 times in the annual tournament on Mallorca now, so I can say that I like it very much. And I love to go there every year on a football holiday.
The organisation arranges everything down to the last detail and the communication is perfect. The international tournament is of a high level. That always ensures exciting finals on Sunday. Everyone can participate. The teams that play less football and do not play a final, always provide a lot of fun.
The parties are really great. Dress up, delicious drinks, and good music during the opening and closing events. The DJ takes different hits from different countries into account and this always ensures a great atmosphere.
From my own experience, I can tell that when a turbulent situation occurs, that have nothing to do with football or the tournament, the organization will do anything to help. And I am still very grateful to the organisation for that.
Santa Ponsa feels like a second home during the football tournament and this is due to the good organisation, nice people, perfect location, and nice weather!

“We are Boldmere St Michaels Football Club based in Sutton Coldfield (suburb of Birmingham) and have a thriving Walking Football section. We attended and played in The Mallorca Walking Football tournament in 2019 (12 personnel) and would have returned again in 2020, but for cancellation due to Covid! We also played in the delayed 2021 tournament last October (20 personnel) and will be back again in May 2022 with a bigger party.
The organisation, both prior to the events and during the tournaments, has been brilliant; you would be hard pushed to find a fault in any shape or form. The staff are friendly and welcoming and add to the overall ambience during our visits to Santa Ponsa”

Ever since, we come back every year and that says everything about the Mallorca Tournament. Right from the start, we particularly liked the great variety of teams from all sorts of countries.
The tournament is well organized and the atmosphere at the events is also unique. It’s always a highlight when you come back in the next year and meet old companions and friends.”

I recently participated in the above event as a member of the Bolton Wanderers FC over 60’s party. We had tried on two previous occasions to join the competition but both times we were thwarted – in the first instance by an air traffic control strike, and the second by Covid.
I know that I speak on behalf of all the members of our group when stating that the event – from start to finish – was excellent and superbly organised. Starting with the clear and precise pre-tournament communication and continuing with highly efficient organisation once we reached the beautiful resort of Santa Ponsa. It was very clear to us that we were in the hands of experienced professionals.
The competition itself ran like clockwork and the most striking things were the excellence of all the referees that we encountered and the wonderful camaraderie between all the teams involved. Although we were in a competition the sportsmanlike behaviour of all players was heartwarming.
Bolton Wanderers were fortunate enough to win the over 60’s event and the atmosphere and organisation of the semi-finals and finals was something that not one of us will ever forget.
Congratulations to you and all your hard-working colleagues on running this top quality event and we are already looking forward to May 2022.

We have already participated 9 times in the tournament (Governement Tournament). In recent years we have seen the tournament and the organization grow. Despite the fact that it has become a large-scale tournament, the atmosphere remains friendly. Friendships were built over the years, with teams from other countries as well as with the employees and organizers.
Due to the many years of experience of the organization, we can say that the organization always runs perfectly. The cooperation of the organization with the local travel agency Adramar is very good. From the moment you arrive at La Palma Airport, you will be accompanied by the Adramar Travel Agency. You will be taken to the hotel by bus. Once in the hotel, everything runs very smoothly and everyone is prepared for your arrival. The hotels have been carefully selected and offer your team everything you need. The direct contact with both the organization and the tour operator Adramar ensures that both your booking and your stay on site run smoothly.
The parties and the social gathering after the games is like the icing on the cake. Santa Ponça is simply sun, sea, sand and fun…
The tournament provides many beautiful memories and friendships, simply FANTASTIC!
